Greenfingers Community Project
Little Greenfingers Gardening Club

Welcome to Little Greenfingers Gardening Club, new to 2026!
Our club is a free, volunteer-led initiative open to children from the neighbouring community.
We will be running from April to September, providing a wonderful opportunity for young gardeners to learn and grow.

Our Goals
At 'Little Greenfingers Gardening Club', part of the Greenfingers Community Project, our aim is to inspire children to connect with nature, build confidence, and develop lifelong skills through hands-on gardening experiences.
We aim to:
-
Support children in growing vegetables from seed to table, helping them understand where food comes from.
-
Encourage healthy eating habits by connecting children with fresh, homegrown produce.
-
Promote socialising, teamwork, and cooperation through shared gardening activities.
-
Build confidence, independence, and a sense of achievement.
-
Develop practical gardening skills and knowledge about plants, soil, and the natural world.
-
Encourage outdoor play and physical activity in a safe, supportive environment.
-
Nurture respect for the environment and an understanding of sustainability.
-
Support children’s wellbeing by providing a calm, positive space to learn, explore, and grow.

Little Greenfingers are incredibly grateful for the support of local organisations. See below for those who have donated monies or materials to our lovely group to teach young people the values of growing your own vegetables.
Little Greenfingers are incredibly grateful for the support of 3R Foundation who have provided a grant of £250 for the purchase of seeds, compost, pots, child- friendly tools, aprons wheelbarrows and crafting supplies. Thank you 3R.
